Today, I see yet another surgeon. This is a general surgeon, as opposed to the orthopedic surgeons I have dealt with in recent years. This is to see about my gall bladder, which has been paining me since September. As I was thinking about the possibility of surgery, I suddenly burst out laughing. I wonder, how many people, when contemplating surgery, must consider lack of sick days left, a nine year old with high anxiety, a ninety-three year old parent who depends on them, and potential wind chill issues?
Not too many, I think. Still, it did make me laugh. The logistics are squirrelly. *sigh*
