I am not really good at shopping, and I am okay with that.
My spending habits tend to be a little weird, however. I suffer from guilt when spending money on myself, and agonize over even the silliest necessities, trying to stretch my diminished income as far as possible.
I have realized recently that I am not encumbered by this agony when it comes to my four year old, however.
Need new shoes, Zeeba? Okay!
Clothes getting a wee bit snug, Sweetness? New clothes!
What? We are out of yogurt tubes, sweetheart? I will get them ASAP! Promise!
I cannot seem to help myself.
Recently, I had three gifts bestowed on me. Two of my girlfriends gifted me, and my boyfriend gave me a wonderful Amazon gift card. And what did I do with these gifts?
1. I bought her a new bike.
2. I bought her new clothes.
3. I bought her a ladybug house.
Oh you heard me, yes, a ladybug house.
And today, I went to Chapters bookstore to buy myself a book, and walked out with a If You Give A ... book for her. I know she will LOVE it!
Apparently I am not in the habit of spending monies on myself, but I have a bad habit of buying my sweet girl whatever I think will make her happy.
Okay, I am not certain that is all that bad, after all.
Heh.

I dunno -- sometimes you need to spend it on yourself. You deserve to have nice things too.
