Organic Lines

My friend Jim bought me a lamp for the dining room. It was a really great - and needed - gift, but I have to say, I truly despise this lamp. It is a pretty tree type light, with three bulbs, each looking like a tulip, or some such thing. Every time I look at it - and I try not to - I get irritated.

Perhaps this is my own form of OCD, but I truly dislike organic lines. Flowers on furniture, bedding, drapes, all those flowing edges irritate me to no end. I find myself overly agitated by them. I like geometric lines, clean straight, solid edges make me happy.

Does this make me strange? Probably. I am okay with that, given what irritates other people. For example, I can make my female progeny turn into a whirling dervish of cleaning just by leaving a couple of papers on the floor. Hahahahaaa! And yes, in moments, I do it on purpose. Sue me.
