Well

I wish I could say things are okay with everything that has happened recently. Some things are and some things are not. I have not heard from my birth mother since May 17, aside from one email. My birth father continues to make time for me, though, and that seems to be progressing nicely.

I have a lot of mixed feelings and reservations about everything. Yesterday was the first time I did any research on adoption and reunions. I have a good idea why I waited, but some of the things I have been reading have chilled me to the bone. I never bothered looking up reunion information before because I never thought I would make it to this point. Perhaps I should have.

Sidebar - I booked my ticket to Vancouver this week. My plane lands August 11th.
