Previews & Memories

I was desperately trying to find something to watch last night, anything to keep my brain occupied. I started looking at previews on the PPV homepage, to see if anything caught my eye. I watched previews for some movies I had never even heard of. I checked different categories, from Sci Fi to Action. Hell I even checked out the documentaries. But of course, me being me, I also looked in the Romance section. It is amazing how that section can turn my stomach in moments.

I finally resorted to the New Release section, where I watched a preview for Grown Ups, an Adam Sandler movie I barely remember hearing about. It was mostly a stupid preview, until I got to the last forty-five seconds. Then, in the background, I hear Bob Seger's "Rock & Roll Never Forgets."

And suddenly, I was a teenager again, standing in my parents' kitchen horrified as I listened to my mom - who was cleaning in the living room - sing THAT song, in her church lady voice, wavery held notes and all. I loved her, but she could kill a song faster than anything.
