Belting The Baby
Yes, I stole that from Okie. The bastard.
Yesterday, Peanut had to announce to me not once but twice that she was "mad with me". First, I would not leave the parking lot at my dad's place so we could all go have lunch until she buckled up. Her reply?
"I am mad with you Gramma," while she quickly buckled up. My dad's reply was, "Well that came out loud and clear."
Then, on the way back home, the sneaky dork unbuckled and was playing in the back seat.
"Peanut, are you buckled up?"
"Nope."
"Missy, you need to buckle up for safety."
"Nope."
"Okay, buckle up now, or I will stop the car and wait until you buckle up."
"I am mad with you Gramma," as she buckled her seatbelt.
"That's okay. You be mad with me, I love you, and it is okay to be mad."
She grinned hugely, then said, "Okay," and fell asleep about thirty seconds later as she was telling me something.
Hehehe ...
