Perfume OD

I was reading somewhere that people often seem to either douse themselves or shower in their scent of choice, thus assaulting the nostrils of anyone within a ten meter radius, and making a very lasting impression, albeit not a good one. One person was quoted as saying that their sense of smell has diminished as they have gotten older, offering that as a possible explanation.

Seriously?

So, along with a diminished sense of smell, have people's common sense diminished as well? Common sense dictates that, whether you can smell a scent or not, the more you spritz on yourself, the stronger it will be. I don't even pay attention to whether I can smell my cologne or not. I simply use two small squirts, one on the left side of my neck and shoulders, one on the right. Logic is what it is, people, and we should follow it. Don't be concerned if YOU can smell it, be concerned with your scent radius.

I guess it made me shake my head a bit. I teach teenagers, and many of them have this issue. I would like to think that adults would know better.
