Sneaky Kid

Amadea peed on the sectional yesterday. She tried to hide it, but I caught her sliding from one cushion to the other whilst sliding off her panties. I admit, I am not THAT good of a parent that I realized she had peed, but I DID notice the pantie-removal. I told her to put them back on. She informed me they were wet. She even held them up as proof. It was then that I realized the sneaky little kid had peed while sitting on my cream-coloured sectional. Grrrr!

I know I am not going to be okay with a sixteen hundred dollar urine-soaked sectional. Luckily for me, we have been roomies long enough that she has done temporary damage to it before. Unluckily for me, we have also been roomies long enough that she has done permanent damage to it as well. Ugh. Anyway, I had reason to need my sectional steam cleaned before, and since I am not forking over hundreds of dollars for a procedure I KNOW will be repeated numerous times, I bought a small steam cleaner. Feeling vindicated for a purchase many would tell me is not necessary, I hauled it out. It cleaned up the offending wet spot, and while I was at it, I cleaned up two other cushions she has left her mark on recently, although perhaps not in such an inglorious manner.

Oh dammit.

Now I am wondering if she has left her mark on my furniture in such an inglorious manner.
