Facebook

I have seen several social networking sites like MySpace and BeBo, but none compare to one the kids hooked me up with called Facebook. It is a constant source of amusement to me. Granted my profile is private and I currently only have four friends, but since two of them are my kids, I am constantly being amused.

Facebook allows you to place externally created applications on your page. My page has such goofy things as 10 Second Interview, a Fun Wall, Superlatives, Tattoos, More About Me, a Fortune Cookie generator, and the like. It is silly, and yet incredibly fun!

The main thing I am being reminded of is how funny my kids really are. This morning I was looking at my son's Facebook page, reading his interview answers (you choose what you answer), and here are a couple of his responses ...

Do you read harry potter books?
Ah hahahaha...ha...oh....NO!

What would you do if Michael Jackson asked you out
I'd say "I'll do anything to visit Never Never Land"

Who do you admire most?
Jesus. Heard he did good things...not sure what they were, but people liked him.

If you could have one super human power what would you choose?
The super amazing ability to grow my finger nails

He does amuse me *S*.

But it is not just him. My daughter amuses me too. She will come over to visit, and sit on the couch with my laptop up and running, playing with Facebook. All I hear is her constant giggling as she peruses the site, messes with her friends, and pokes people. She nominated me for a Superlative, saying I was the friend of hers who was "Most Likely To Kick It With Jesus Someday." That cracked me up, but not nearly as much as when I got her back by tattooing her forehead with a unicorn tattoo *L*.

I never said it was highbrow. I said it was amusing. Heh.
