Kinds of Burn

Online, it is horribly easy to find people willing to spark your fuse, so to speak. People willing to say the right things, try to flirt, give you attention, flatter you, all of that. However there is a huge difference between those people, the ones whose ignition fuse is short, and the person who is there, who truly meshes with you, who knows your secrets, fears, hopes, dreams, the person who is the slow, steady burn of time, caring, and trust. It is like comparing a sparkler to a comet. One fizzles out quickly, the other burns even when you do not see it. For my part, I will take the long, slow burn over the short burst of flame.
