A Moment

Lately, the bad moments have been piling up more rapidly than I care to think about. I keep moving forward, but sometimes that is more difficult to do than others. Then, in a moment, unexpectedly, someone says something that turns it all around.

.... I believe, to a great degree, it was your incredible depth of emotion, your passion as well as your melancholy, your ability to experience joy as well as understand despair. Add to that intelligence, your ability to communicate, and your appreciation of the most human parts of artistic expression ....

How in heaven could anyone see that in me? I can't agree with all of that, but the idea that a friend sees that in me, saw that in me, is moving, uplifting, and somewhat amazing. I have some incredibly good friends.
