Family
I used to wish I had a family that was more like me, a family that was affectionate, able to speak of love, all the things that seemed to be lacking in mine. Then I grew up, moved on, created my own small family who are loving and affectionate, quick with hugs, laughter, and unafraid to say how they feel. Yet sometimes, in brief moments when I stop to think about it, there is something missing. I know what it is, but I never speak it out loud, never let it be said. Perhaps I think I will jinx myself, make things go bad.
Knowing what I want, and knowing how to make it happen, those are two very different things. I guess all I have to do is take care of me, and let the rest take care of itself.
Aye, there's the rub.
